as an e-mail list to share resources and projects work among the group of young quality 'Gurus' who were undertaking their stduies towards Master of Quality Management at University of Wollongong in Dubai.
The email list (Quality Update) turned into a web site, called Quality Oasis. The name is derived from the UAE environment. Over time, the web site turned into a virtual community of practice that aims to help Quality professionals and students to excel in in their profession and to promote the quality culture and commitment to excellence.
Mission:
To promote the quality movement, culture, and public awareness within the UAE. And act as a community of practice for quality professionals and students to benefit our services and industry.
Objectives:
- To act as a focal point for all UAE Students interested in quality.
- To plan activities and events, to define task descriptions and to assign responsibilities and tasks.
- To Align with quality societies inside the UAE such as Dubai Quality Group (DQG) and act as a representative body for students.
- To market student involvement in Quality to all tertiary learning institutions in the UAE including advertising the link between the DQG and the MQM.
- To organize annual quality conference in order to discuss the latest challenges and trends of quality movement.
